The Endless Charm In Vietnam

Hello, my name is Shohei Miyajima of Motherhouse Hong Kong.
I've traveled to nearly 20 countries in my life, including my backpacking days.

If you could go back to any one country for once, where would it be?
After thinking about it, I decided that I wanted to choose Vietnam.

What is so great about Vietnam?I'd like to share four recommendations.
Food, history, beer, and an idyllic atmosphere that isn't too touristy.

1.The food

If I could have one last meal abroad in my life,
the one thing I would definitely want to eat is the Banh Mi here.
Espeecially from "Banh Mi Huaynh Hoa " restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City.
Pho is also exceptional. I can't even count how many bowls I ate during my stay.

2.Vietnam War scars

You can also get a taste of history.
In particular, a tour of the Cu Chi Tunnel allows you to see an underground tunnel
that was actually built and used to fight the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
While actually experiencing the narrow tunnel and witnessing the horrific sight of the war,
you will be deeply moved by the contrast between the current serenity
and the perseverance and wisdom of the Vietnamese people who are trying to protect their country.

3.Vietnam, a craft beer paradise.

The word "beer" may seem surprising, but Vietnam is a craft beer paradise.
The city has a variety of craft beer brands and is a must for beer lovers.

4.Idyllic atmosphere

After visiting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City,
e headed to Phu Quoc Island,
a city with a different kind of time passing by.
Not only a beautiful beaches and sunset
but also beautiful the entire island still has untapped charm in the country.

such as night market, also the pepper fields
and a nuoc mam factory were quite interesting to see.

Famous Phu Quoc Style Rice noodles
with boiled fish paste (shrimp, cod and squid).

I haven't visited there yet,
but I heard that places like Da Nang are also really great...
Vietnam has no end of attractions.

I'd like to go back there sometime
when Covid-19 is settled and I'm ready to travel.
